About the role

We’re looking for a Finance Manager that has a focus on FP&A and business partnering.

The role will be reporting to our global Financial Controller with a dotted line to our global Strategic Finance leaders. You will be an integral member of the finance team and hold responsibility for partnering with Operations to deliver reporting, insights and data analysis that translates operational trends to financial results, and assisting with financial planning. You will be required to identify process improvements, change implications and executions as well as supporting ad-hoc finance projects.

In this role, you’ll:

BUSINESS OPERATIONS:

• Support our long range and annual planning processes
• Develop a deep understanding of our financial model and assist others in understanding the inputs and outputs
• Liaise with Operations on their monthly forecasting, provide clarity to Operation’s P&Ls to deliver strategic insights to drive performance
• Provide commentary to variances and partner with teams to provide tangible next steps to the Executive and Leadership teams
• Compile, analyse and report on our financial data tailored for each tier of management and Group
• Contribute to improving end-to-end financial data pipeline, controls and structures
• Design and perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting to assist our CFO and Executive & Leadership teams
• Act as a PMO to conduct continuous improvement initiatives in our finance and operational systems

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

• Work on ad-hoc projects as the finance project lead. For example:
  
  • Design and implement new technical accounting standards & operational processes
  • Re-fresh our Data Strategy, Data Structures, Data Dictionary and Data Mapping between systems and teams
• Provide guidance to junior finance team members, giving direction on new processes, documenting them and helping to bridge knowledge gaps
• Build executive-level financial and business presentations & internal reports that are clear and concise

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to bring:

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience (2 years FP&A and 3 years Finance/Accounting)
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance with CA or CPA qualification
• Effective communication skills in order to build relationships and influence across all functions and levels
• A technical understanding of company financials and be able to align with operational metrics to determine and to communicate what success looks like
• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel at an advanced level, including ImportRange, large multi-worksheet models, lookups, and pivot tables
• Experience in budget and forecast preparation
• The ability to work autonomously

• Experience working with a US multinational
• A passion for helping mitigate the impacts of a changing climate
• Experience using data visualisation, analytics tools and implementing ERP systems
• The ability to wear many hats, you can change from being strategic to rolling up your sleeves and performing hands-on operational tasks
