The role

Do you share our passion for community development and partnering to help continue growing community capability, resilience and equity?

In this dynamic role working as our Community Strengthening Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to work at both strategic and grassroots levels. You’ll play a key role in developing and evaluating policies and strategies, as well as an active contributor to many partnerships within our community.

Recent work examples include leading policy reviews, developing advocacy documents, preparing funding submissions and coordinating project reference groups. Current key partnership focuses for this role include Greater Bendigo libraries and neighbourhood houses.

About You

  • To be successful you’ll need to be a strategic thinker, committed to strengths-based community development and partnering, have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and highly developed project planning and management skills.
  • If you have Community Development, Social Sciences or Human Services qualifications or experience, let talk further!
  • A satisfactory police records check and employee working with children check is required for this position.
