As our Recovery and Resilience Project Officer, you will coordinate the planning, programming, delivery and reporting requirements of community recovery and resilience initiatives within the City of Greater Bendigo, in accordance with the Delivery Plan for the Emergency Recovery Victoria - Community Recovery Hubs Program. This program has been developed in response to the impact of widespread flooding in October 2022.
You will engage with community groups to support community led recovery and resilience activities, workshops and training opportunities that will build on community strengths and respond to community need.
To be successful in this position, you will have relevant experience and knowledge of key concepts and principles around community recovery and resilience, and emergency management frameworks.
You will have excellent communication and community engagement skills and demonstrated experience in project management, developing partnerships and problem solving in complex situations.
A satisfactory police records check and Working with Children Check is required for this position.
