Communify offers a range of services that support frail aged, people with a disability and their carers, enabling them to remain living independently and connected to their community. Communify's Paddington Respite Centre provides them with regular social interaction and assistance with activities of daily living.

Our Paddington Respite Centre is running with COVID Safe work plans. This has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join the team of dedicated and passionate Aged Care Workers.

Working in our gorgeous boutique day respite setting in Paddington, Brisbane our Aged Care Support Workers provide person-centred support both within our day centre and on outings in the community.

We are currently seeking experienced support workers to join our dynamic and caring team to assist on weekdays as a full time role.

This role is for Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

This role is about

• Providing exceptional and passionate assistance to customers including personal care
• Assistance in transporting clients to and from the centre
• Running and/or supporting all in centre activities including setup and cleanup
• Maintaining and promoting a therapeutic environment for the management of aged care customers according to the Aged Care Standards and best practice

About you

You must exercise highly mature judgement and decision making. You will be very capable of resolving minor enquiries and requests, and responding sensitively to concerns ensuring matters are dealt with promptly and communicated to the Team Leader effectively.

Qualifications and Experience you must have

• Certificate IV in Aged Care
• Minimum 2 year's experience working in the sector
• Open Drivers Licence and ability to drive small mini bus
• Current Police Check or the ability to obtain one
• Required COVID-19 Vaccination certificate
