The Re-Gen Project is a 20-week traineeship in Conservation and Ecosystem Management. The project takes 2 intakes of 15 trainees per year. It is funded through the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative to assist unemployed people from disadvantaged backgrounds to find employment.

The Project Support Worker assists the Program Supervisor and other team members to deliver hands-on training for the participants.

We are looking for applicants who enjoy working outdoors and are passionate about supporting jobseekers from disadvantaged backgrounds in finding employment. This position might be interesting for applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including community services, environmental management, horticulture or vocational training. Current students from relevant backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the position.

This position is 19.5 hours per week over three days. We will consider a casual or part time appointment. Remuneration is at a SCHADS Level 3 (Social and Community Services Pay Scales). Selection Criteria:

  • SC1 Experience in working with people from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • SC2 Experience or qualification in Horticulture / Conservation and Ecosystem Management
  • SC3 Experience in training on the job
  • SC4 Experience of being a team player
  • SC5 Please confirm you have a driver’s license, current Blue Card and proof of full COVID 19 Vaccination.
