About The Role

We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join our friendly and supportive Frankston based team. The successful applicant will come with a variety of work and life experience, a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to look ‘outside the box’, when developing tailored pathways to employment for our customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with our job seekers to source sustainable local employment opportunities
• Maintaining regular employer and job seeker contact to ensure any issues are actioned swiftly and to support the job seekers in their new workplace
• Assist the job seeker with developing the skills and knowledge they need to secure ongoing suitable work
• Work with other local community services where required to address any job seeker barriers to employment

About You

You will be a passionate person who genuinely wants to assist others in our local community with addressing the things that hold our job seekers back from securing ongoing employment. It doesn’t matter if you do not have experience in our industry, however here are a few things we are looking for in this role:

• Ability to build rapport and communicate with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and life experience
• Not afraid to seek out and consult with local employers and community organisations to develop strong support networks and employment opportunities for our customers
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to an ongoing changing environment (this is a must!)
• Ability to learn and understand our contractual requirements and what it means to be ‘compliant’
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, in a high performance culture which is focused on results
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence and WWCC
