Compassion Australia is looking for a talented and highly creative Graphic Designer to join our Brand Experience department. As a part of the Art Direction team, you would be responsible for providing high quality end-to-end design services in the development of brand experiences that invite our neighbours into a deeper understanding and relationship with the mission of Compassion, ensuring that the brand is effectively communicated and implemented in all work developed. Key Responsibilities

  • Providing end-to-end design services across a wide range of projects
  • Translating campaign art direction into content for use across print and digital platforms
  • Maintaining Compassion Australia’s brand standards by championing the style guide
  • Working closely with art direction, designers, creative writers and film makers in content creation
  • Producing high quality work that aligns with Compassion Australia’s strategic and ministry goals
  • Providing professional consultation to internal stakeholders on the development of creative outcomes
  • Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional and agile team environment
  • Applying strong conceptual, artistic and strategic thinking skills to produce considered design outcomes.
  • Liaising with external production companies, design studios and other third-party suppliers
  • Collaborate with other Compassion partner countries and the global ministry centre in the exchange of content

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication or another related field.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience, preferably in an agency or in-house department.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to take ideas from concept through to finished artwork
  • Demonstrable experience in print media, digital platforms and environmental design
  • Ability to think dynamically about content creation and the development of brand experiences
  • The ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with effective time management skills
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Digital, animation and video editing skills desirable for use in content creation
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Current Australian passport or willingness to obtain one
