Complex Psychology is a boutique allied health consultancy that provides a range of psychology and occupational therapy services. We are in high demand as a result of our experience assessing, coordinating and treating clients who have extremely complex needs and for our expertise in negotiating complex service system challenges. Due to high demand for our services, we are seeking a part-time psychologist to undertake a variety of different assessment, coordination and treatment roles. We are flexible regarding hours and happy to negotiate with the right individual.
At the heart of what Complex Psychology does is our dedication to working with clients who have multiple and complex needs. We provide the following services to the Department of Health & Human Services, Department of Justice, NDIS participants, Non-Government Organisations and private individuals:
Due to the expansion of our practice, we are seeking a psychologist who is keen for a challenge, but looking for a flexible, interesting and supportive workplace. The Complex Psychology offices are located in North Melbourne, but we can implement partial 'work from home' arrangements for the right staff. We pride ourselves on developing employment arrangements that allow flexibility around study/children and other life commitments. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is keen for a challenge, wants to work with clients who have extremely complex issues (often a combination of serious mental illness, intellectual disability, brain injury, severe substance misuse, neurodevelopmental disorders, etc.) and who are frequently a risk to themselves, others and the community. Despite the challenges our clients face, we are committed to working with them in an ethical and strength based framework.
Applicants with a range of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including those with experience in forensic services/corrections/prisons, disability, AOD programs, clinical/forensic mental health services and program management.
Note: Those wanting to undertake a registrar program will be considered as long as they meet the key selection criteria.
Internal and external supervision is provided, as is regular CPD. Travel within Victoria, including some limited travel to rural and regional areas may be a part of the role.
