Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

This is an Aboriginal Designated position.
The Koori Support Officer role is responsible for providing cultural and emotional support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons accessing VCAT. This role is part of a supportive team, striving to deliver safe, cultural and emotional support, strong referral pathways and positive engagement with the view to empower Aboriginal persons throughout their VCAT experience. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Note: an ability to attend the VCAT Community Based Venues of Oakleigh and Frankston would be highly desirable. Additionally, an ability to attend VCAT locations within the Melbourne CBD as required, to provide in-hearing support to First Nations people is favourable.
The preferred candidate will possess knowledge of and/or connections to the Victorian Aboriginal community and have a strong ability to engage and support First Nations persons throughout their VCAT experience.
