About the role

At CPA, we are dedicated to providing exceptional disability services, fostering quality and care in every aspect of our operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to lead the Facilities maintenance team and ensure the effective operation of maintenance services across our property portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities, managing both planned and reactive works while ensuring we maintain the highest standards for our facilities.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

Facilities Management

  • Lead the maintenance of facilities to ensure exceptional service delivery, supporting CPA's reputation as a leading disability service provider.
  • Develop scopes of work, negotiate contracts, and manage service level agreements for cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee and schedule planned maintenance to meet safety, operational, and client needs.
  • Travel to sites across NSW and ACT to monitor property conditions, prepare planned works schedules and oversee capital works projects.
  • Maintain expertise in facilities management and safety, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the best course of action for maintenance and capital works.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective, quality outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to local management to ensure compliance with policy and safe operational practices.

Financial Management

  • Prepare Asset Management Plans and budgets for all maintenance programs and capital works.
  • Implement and track the operational budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

People Management

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals.
  • Support team development and help implement change initiatives across the department.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, and asset management.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
  • Technical expertise in maintenance practices and facilities operations in line with Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards, SafeWork NSW and WorkSafe ACT.
  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
