About the role

The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful planning, execution, and support of the Payroll System Replacement Program to ensure the smooth operation of the project and contributing to the overall success of the Pay and Benefits function.

This position is an 18-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

  • Preparing detailed process maps and documentation of current and future processes
  • Updating processes, procedures and other relevant documentation
  • Develop data translation/migration plans to facilitate the transfer of data between systems
  • Develop system test plans
  • Lead end to end system testing, including parallel Payroll processing
  • Partnering with key stakeholders from within the program and across the business to ensure successful development of detailed process maps and documentation for processes affected by the program of works
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with vendors to ensure a successful project

About you:

  • 10+ years' experience in the payroll sector
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar payroll system replacement project
  • Previous experience with the preferred vendor (TBD) will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience with payroll systems/technology (Preceda desirable)
  • Prior experience with detailed end to end process mapping, including using applications such as MS Visio
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders and communicate key information effectively
  • Ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
