Join Our Team: Disability Support Worker
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? We're seeking a compassionate, skilled Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to our NDIS participants. Help empower individuals to participate in social, community, and recreational activities while supporting daily living needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities
- Assist with community access and participation in desired activities
- Maintain dignity, privacy, and respect in all interactions
- Ensure the rights of individuals are upheld and support them in achieving independence
- Complete required documentation and reports in line with policies
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or related field
- Confidence managing participants with challenging behaviours
- Physically fit, able to keep up with active participants
- Experience providing direct service to individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to person-centred care
- Flexible work hours, valid driver’s license, and own car with comprehensive insurance
- Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Working with Children Check and National Criminal Records History Check
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of issues affecting people with disabilities and the ageing population
- Computer literacy and fluency in a second language
