Position Overview

We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team Monday - Saturday 10.30am - 4.30pm. We are specifically looking for someone who is experienced in supporting people with complex care needs. This role aims to assist people with their daily living activities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life. The supports will be varied, but with a common goal to enhance the ability of the individual to live independently. Activities taken place throughout the support shift as follows:

• Supporting the individual to the local park for a walk
• Supporting the individual to appointments
• Domestic support
• Meal preparation
• Personal Care
• Engaging with games and activities
• Supporting and assisting the individual to go to the gym

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to NDIS participant, including assistance with daily living activities.
• Support participant at home with domestic tasks.
• Facilitate social and community engagement activities.
• Implement individual support plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Maintain accurate progress notes.
• Report incidents where necessary.
• Collaborate with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Qualifications / Experience

• Certificate III in Disability or equivalent qualification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory).
• First Aid Certification (Required)
• Working with Children Check (Required)
• Driver Licence (Required)
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Anglemans Syndrome, Prader Willi Sydnrome, Fragile ex desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities.

• Competitive hourly rate $41 - $44 P/H Mon - Friday and weekend penalty rates.
