ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for Disability Support Staff with experience in supporting adults, youth and children 1:1 with disabilities to live safe and fulfilling lives.

Positions are approximately 20+ hours per week, with a view to permanency for the right candidates.

As a Support Worker and Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering NDIS participants to embrace life to the fullest. You'll be a guiding light, providing support and encouragement while enabling them to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Experience supporting adults, youth and children on a 1:1 basis
• Personal Care Support experience
• A professional, positive and passionate approach to providing the highest level of support
• A compassionate and progressive mindset that values diversity and inclusivity
• Excellent communication, customer service and active listening skills
• The ability to build strong relationships through capacity building and mentoring
• A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct
• A genuine desire to learn and grow alongside our participants

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a Working with Children, Check Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
• Possess First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Hold an SA Driver's License and reliable transport
• Willingness to drive and work in other Adelaide metropolitan locations as requested

Qualifications in Individual Support (Disability), Community Services or a related field is an advantage, but not essential. Would suit a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Social Work, Developmental Education or Occupational Therapy student. Experience in mentorship is favourable.
