Essential Criteria (please respond to these in your application).
- A tertiary qualification in peer work or mental health (minimum of Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Mental Health) or equivalent training and/or a lived and/or learnt experience of mental health.
- Minimum two years of knowledge and experience in the disability, mental health, community services, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including working and communicating effectively with participants, their families, and community agencies.
- The ability to develop creative solutions to problems autonomously as well as within a team setting.
- Attend and contribute to supervision and professional practice sessions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of psychosocial disability and recovery practice.
- Understanding the needs of complex mental health clients including trauma informed practice and supported decision making.
- Ability to engage with clients to build trusting relationships that motivate and build the participant’s capacity to set, maintain and achieve goals.
- Competent in gathering evidence and report writing to ensure participants funding continues to meet their disability related support needs.
- Excellent computer skills for recording notes, gathering data, writing reports, and corresponding with stakeholders using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of basic CRM software for case notes and file management
- Have a valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
