Plan and facilitate therapeutic groups for victim-survivors of family violence. Support Family Violence Case Worker with intake and case management where needed. This position is 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Location is primarily in Box Hill and occasionally at Burwood East.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to co-facilitate therapeutic group programs for victim-survivors of family violence. This includes planning the sessions from material provided, being involved in debriefing, writing case notes, and supporting the program as required. This role will also include supporting Family Violence Case Worker with intake and case management where needed.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Delivery of therapeutic group programs outcomes for victim-survivors of family violence
• Contribute to teamwork, the safety culture, complying with policies and procedures and attending professional development as required
• Assist Family Violence Worker with intake and case management where needed

Qualifications, Skills and Experience needed:

• Tertiary Degree in Counselling, or similar therapeutic qualification, and preferably a membership with relevant professional body (for example, PACFA)
• At least 3 years experience providing therapy to clients, either individual or group based
• Professional experience working with clients who have experienced trauma
