The Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance (CVGA) is seeking a purpose-driven, experienced Project Manager to lead our Powering Resilience in the Regions project—bringing solar and battery systems to community hubs across Victoria to support resilience during extreme weather and power outages.

This is a unique opportunity to work across regional Victoria with local governments, contractors, and community stakeholders to deliver infrastructure that supports climate adaptation and energy resilience.

About the Role

The Powering Resilience in the Regions project is funded through the Victorian Government’s 100 Neighbourhood Batteries Fund. It will deliver behind-the-meter solar PV and battery storage systems to 11 community sites across 10 local government areas, creating energy resilience hubs that can operate independently during grid outages.

As Project Manager, you will:

  • Oversee project delivery from start to finish
  • Coordinate with councils, contractor and stakeholders
  • Manage timelines, budgets, approvals, and risks
  • Support community engagement and communications
  • Monitor quality assurance and report on project outcomes

About You

You’re an experienced project leader with technical know-how and a passion for sustainable infrastructure. You enjoy working with local government, understand renewable energy systems, and thrive when working independently and collaboratively.

You have:

  • Extensive project management experience (energy/infrastructure preferred)
  • Stakeholder engagement expertise across diverse groups
  • Familiarity with the National Energy Market, solar PV and battery storage technologies
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or environmental field
  • Ability to travel to regional project sites as needed

You may also bring:

  • Local government experience
  • Electrical engineering background
  • Experience in community energy projects
