In a typical week in this job, you are likely to do the following things:

• Assess participants barriers to employment and identify their skills, experience, and aspirations to best match them to opportunities within the labour market.
• Motivate, encourage and coach participants towards their employment goals.
• Ensure participants have the tools and resources required to undertake education or employment
• General case management of a caseload, to assist participants in meeting their requirements
• Connect participants to relevant and personalised support services as required such as mental health counselling, financial counselling, drug & alcohol counselling and domestic violence support groups as relevant to each program.
• Actively support participants in employment including ongoing communication with employers as required with a view to support their employment sustainability.

To be successful, you will need emotional intelligence, resilience, and work ethic with a positive problem-solving capability.
