The Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence (PGCNV) is one of the leading providers of family and domestic violence services in the Perth metropolitan area. Supporting more than 5,000 Western Australian women and children last year, we provide crisis accommodation facilities and support, women’s and children’s counselling services and outreach programs.

In addition to the provision of direct response and recovery services, we also provide advocacy, referral information and support to women and their children seeking relief from the impact of domestic violence.

About the role

As the Community Engagement Coordinator at PGCNV you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of marketing activities and partnerships opportunities. This will include a significant focus on grant application and fundraising activities, where you will identify and secure opportunities to support the organisation’s goals. Your role will also be crucial in managing philanthropic partnerships, ensuring high-quality services and client support, as well as contributing to the continued success and growth of the organisation.

This is a full-time/part-time role, based in Merriwa, reporting to the Executive Manager, Corporate Services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and manage corporate partnership opportunities and represent the organisation at relevant stakeholder events.
  • Identify, facilitate, and manage grant and tender applications, as well as fundraising policies and procedures.
  • Manage the marketing budget expenditure and provide monthly reporting on marketing activities, including social media, for the CEO report.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan, social media strategy, and oversee content creation and engagement across platforms.
  • Oversee the preparation, design and production of the Annual Report.
  • Oversee website development and brand review projects.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a relevant field
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in marketing/fundraising role, including strategy development, grant application and acquittal, and fundraising
  • Excellent communication including written and verbal communication, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms
  • Proven ability to identify new opportunities and grants, and develop proposals
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and manage stakeholder data through CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, demonstrating initiative, creativity and a collaborative approach

  • WA Driver’s License
