Supporting more than 5,000 Western Australian women and children last year, we provide crisis accommodation facilities and support, women’s and children’s counselling services and outreach programs.

In addition to the provision of direct response and recovery services, we also provide advocacy, referral information and support to women and their children seeking relief from the impact of domestic violence.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Project Officer to join our team and play a key role in the Modified Service Delivery Pilot, focusing on the intersection of family and domestic violence (FDV) and disability.

In this role you will drive impactful change by providing capacity-building initiatives and mentoring to strengthen PGCNV service delivery and the broader sector, to improve outcomes for individuals experiencing FDV and disability.

This is a part-time (0.8), fixed term position to 30 June 2026. You will be supporting the Project Lead, Modified Service Delivery.

As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and co-facilitating tailored training sessions (online/in-person) with the Project Lead, ensuring it is updated and aligns with best practice, and gather participant feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with disability and FDV stakeholders, including supporting monthly meetings to facilitate sector collaboration for identifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Providing mentoring and advice on best practices, reviewing organisational processes, and offering feedback to improve services for people with disability and FDV.
  • Assisting with data collection, project evaluation, and resource development.
  • Managing social media to promote the project and maintain online presence.
  • Ensuring project activities align with strategic goals and meet project requirements.

About you

Essential

  • Experience in disability, FDV, or a related sector
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating online and/or in-person training
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with a track record of delivering outcomes
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Current National Police Clearance (no older than three months) and Working with Children Check
  • Ability to travel to different locations

  • Knowledge of FDV issues and barriers to services for people with disability
