Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA) is looking for a Strategic Communications Lead to spearhead our communications strategy and amplify the voices of disability advocacy organisations across the country.

This is an exciting part-time, remote opportunity for a dynamic professional ready to lead a small team and drive strategic engagement across media, government, DANA members, and the community.

About the Role

As the Strategic Communications Lead, you will:

• Implement and drive DANA’s communications strategy
• Manage media relations and stakeholder engagement
• Create compelling content for diverse audiences
• Support crisis communications and reputation management
• Lead and mentor a small, high-performing communications team

• Proven experience in strategic communications, media, or public affairs
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
• Exceptional writing and storytelling ability
• Expertise in engaging with government, media, and advocacy organisations
