Join Darebin’s Sustainable Transport unit and work with experienced behaviour change practitioners, transport planners and engineers to make a difference at a local level. Use your communications, community development and event planning skills to support our community and staff to enjoy healthy, sustainable travel.

Your work will involve promoting and delivering bike programs and sustainable travel events and providing general administrative and marketing support to our Community Projects and Programs team.

  • Temporary 10-month, full-time position
  • Salary - Band 5, $80,961.40 per annum + superannuation
  • Opportunity to help deliver widely respected travel behaviour change programs and have positive impact on a local level

About the Role

  • Assist with planning, promotion and delivery of the popular Darebin Loves Bikes program and the Love Your Commute staff travel program
  • Support school active travel programs including Octopus Schools, Ride2School Day and Walk and Wheel Once a Week
  • Develop marketing and promotion materials for the Sustainable Transport teams

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in travel behaviour change, communications and marketing, community event management, community development or similar, along with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience working with or alongside local government would be an advantage
