National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Team Leader, Fire to work as part of the team in Southern Ranges Branch and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
The role leads and manages a team and develops Branch program strategies, fire management operational planning, program delivery coordination, performance monitoring and review, and financial management related to the Branch Fire budget, the Bushfire Management Program (BMP) and other relevant fire operations projects at a Branch level. The role is responsible for providing leadership and strategy development for the Bushfire Management Program within the Branch.
You will have experience in leading and managing a team of fire and front-line staff coordinating and delivering the Bushfire Management Program (BMP) with Branch staff and supporting the agencies fire management objectives and legislative requirements, including operational planning and financial management.
In addition, you will have experience building meaningful relationships and effective communication with interagency staff and internal staff, whilst exercising sound judgement in managing operational issues and emergency response in consultation with the Branch management team and other fire and emergency services agencies to achieve consistent organisational outcomes.
