There is now an opportunity to join this dynamic foundation as a Donor Relations Manager.

The role

The Donor Relations Manager for the Epworth Medical Foundation is a critical role, responsible for building donor relationships and securing financial support.

As a senior member of the philanthropic team, this role will engage and collaborate with the Epworth Medical Foundation staff, in addition to the Epworth medical leaders, Research Program Manager, Epworth Nurses and the Donor Relations team.

The Donor Relations Manager will formulate and execute a donor engagement program that fosters a culture of gratitude and identifies major gifts and bequests prospects whilst identifying new fundraising opportunities.

In addition to this, the role will be responsible for the following:

• Translate the funding requirements into bespoke and tailored proposals for donors
• In collaboration with the Epworth Healthcare, understand the priorities for funding needs and respond accordingly
• Develop a communication and stewardship strategy to provide updates on Epworth achievements
• Build engaged relationships with patients and their families.

Skills and experience

The Donor Relations Manager will have a strong desire to create and deliver funding opportunities through strong relationship management with major donors and bequestors.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• The ability to engage with major donors and communities to support the cause
• A strong track record of identifying and securing funding for campaigns and ongoing research
• Ideally a qualification in a relevant tertiary field
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a natural aptitude to nurture relationships that benefit the organisation
• A desire to grow philanthropic income to support research and the communities which benefit from positive outcomes of programs
• You will be self-motivated and passionate about supporting patients and their families through the journey.
