Make a difference in your local community and the natural environment.
The Denmark Environment Centre Inc (DEC) is looking for a Finance & Administration Manager to join our team.
The Denmark Environment Centre is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting conservation in southwest Western Australia. Since 1987, we've been at the forefront of environmental advocacy, education, and community engagement. Our operational structure includes several committees - comprised of scientists, professionals and not-for-profit experts, a small office team of 3, and an amazing volunteer team.
As the Finance & Administration Manager, you’ll ensure DEC’s finances are well-managed and compliant. Using Xero, Stripe, and Square (or similar systems), you’ll oversee grant allocations, project forecasts & budgets, expenses, and revenue streams (shop sales, memberships, and regular giving).
Supported by DEC’s Committee, Leadership Team, an external bookkeeper (BAS, Monthly Reporting, Super Reconciliation), and an auditor, you’ll coordinate across stakeholders to ensure financial accountability. The role also administers insurances, NFP reporting, IT systems, leasing, assets etc.
You’ll work alongside an Administration Coordinator (DEC Shop/Resource Centre, comms, membership, volunteers) and a Project Manager (fundraising, projects, education and engagement). Depending on your skills and interests, the role can be tailored to leverage your strengths and interests.
We welcome diverse experience and backgrounds. You don’t need to tick every box listed - if you bring relevant skills, life experience, and a passion for environmental conservation and community engagement, we’d love to hear from you.
