Marketing & Communications Manager

Dress for Success NSW & ACT

Make your mark. Lead the voice of a purpose-driven brand.

Are you a creative strategist with a passion for making a real impact? We’re looking for a dynamic Marketing & Communications Manager to take the lead in shaping how we connect with our clients, partners, supporters, and volunteers.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind our marketing and communications strategy—developing, implementing, and managing campaigns that inspire action, grow our community, and elevate our brand. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll work closely with leadership to turn big ideas into real-world results.

Dress for Success is on a mission to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing professional styling and clothing, career development tools and a network of support to help women enter and re-enter the workforce. As a registered charity, we provide our services free of charge to women in NSW and ACT.

Your mission?

  • Attract and engage: Fuel client growth and elevate the experience.
  • Build partnerships: Drive collaboration and meaningful connections.
  • Amplify our voice: Ensure our brand shines consistently across every platform.

This is more than a management role - it’s an opportunity to lead from the front. You’ll blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, crafting campaigns that are as bold as they are effective. Innovation, creativity, and storytelling are at the heart of everything you’ll do.

We are looking for an exceptional Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, based at our head office in Summer Hill. If you're ready to bring fresh energy to a role where your ideas matter and your work creates real change, we’d love to hear from you.

ABOUT YOU

To thrive as our Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll bring a broad and adaptable skill set across all areas of marketing and communications. You’re someone who understands the full picture—combining strategic know-how with hands-on experience in brand building, data-driven decision-making, and multi-channel campaign delivery, from social media and digital platforms to PR and events.

You’ll have a proven track record of managing diverse campaigns and budgets with confidence, creativity, and precision. Your sharp eye for detail, innovative mindset, and strong time management skills will help you juggle multiple projects without missing a beat.

We’re looking for someone who’s results-oriented and data-savvy - someone who can turn insights into action and drive real impact, using analytics to boost performance and maximise ROI.

This role is both collaborative and autonomous. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation while also leading key initiatives, so it’s essential that you’re confident, thoughtful, and great at building strong working relationships.

whAT YOU’ll BRING TO THE ROLE

You be able to demonstrate these essential skills and experience:

  • A proven track record of leading successful marketing and communication campaigns—from concept through to execution and evaluation.
  • A strong digital-first mindset, with hands-on experience across social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Confident in managing and optimising social media channels and running targeted digital advertising campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of platforms such as Pardot or Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, and ticketing systems, plus experience in website content management.
  • Familiarity with CRM and database systems (ideally Salesforce), using data to inform and enhance campaign performance.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, contributing meaningfully to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage end-to-end campaign delivery across multiple projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a professional style and high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A talent for prioritising and multitasking, even under pressure, keeping projects on track while staying calm and focused.
  • A solution-focused approach, with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and the confidence to take ownership of your work.
  • Flexibility and adaptability - you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment where every day brings something new.
  • Most importantly, a genuine passion for our mission - you’re committed to making a difference in the lives of women and empowering communities.

Bonus Skills (Desirable, but not essential)

  • Basic graphic design skills, especially using tools like Canva.
  • Previous experience in a not-for-profit environment and/or with fundraising campaigns.
