Diabetes Victoria is seeking a passionate and culturally aware Aboriginal Health Promotion Officer to work towards improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Victorians living with diabetes.
This role is an Aboriginal Identified Position and focuses on supporting and implementing culturally relevant initiatives, engaging with Aboriginal communities (particularly with Aboriginal men living with, or at risk of, diabetes), and collaborating with key stakeholders to raise awareness, promote diabetes prevention, and manage complications.
Please Note: This role involves providing programs and services to Aboriginal males to promote their welfare. This role is only available to people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and meet the selection criteria. This is permitted under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth) and section 27 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
