An exciting opportunity (Full-time role) has arisen for the role of 'Software Developer' in the Commercial, Generation and VPP team at Diamond Energy, part of Energy Bay.

We are looking for a Software Developer, who is passionate about renewable energy to join our dynamic team. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the renewable energy market, whilst supporting business process improvements by employing technical expertise, business analysis and project management skills. The successful candidate will possess problem solving skills, with the ability to multi-task, whilst working in a close-knit team.

As a Software Developer with Energy Bay Markets (Diamond Energy) you will be responsible for:

• Development of fully functioning web interfaces, ensuring that the user interface (UI) is visually appealing and the user experience (UX) is intuitive and seamless
• Writing clean, maintainable and efficient code using front-end frameworks like React
• Optimising the Front-end performance by minimising load-times and implementing other techniques
• Working closely with Back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic and APIs
• Implementing and monitoring authentication protocols to secure the dashboards
• Maintaining User access control for each user accessing the dashboard
• Improving use of data analysis tools, practices, and knowledge across the business
• Providing technical support for the billing & generation, system & web application users across the organisation

You will be successful in the role if you:

• Possess a demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in front end development or equivalent
• Possess a Bachelor's degree (or above) in a science or engineering discipline such as Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong understanding of programming languages, database management & web applications
• Proficiency with programming languages – python, C++, etc
• Experience working with .Net, React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience with contemporary software development tools and practices: version control, unit testing, debugging, automated testing, issue tracking
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and active listening skills.
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit team in a dynamic and growing business with a strong interest in renewable energy
