About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Coordinator to join our dynamic Treatment and Support Services (TSS) team. This position will provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and support to TSS team members while ensuring the delivery of high-quality AOD and mental health treatment and support services to clients and their families.

This role is based in Woden, with a combination of centre-based and outreach activities. It requires an individual who is passionate about harm reduction, person-centred care, and evidence-based practice while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to TSS and Alongside team members, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Deliver counselling, case management, and harm minimisation education for individuals and families impacted by alcohol and drug use.
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of individual and group therapeutic services.
  • Support the Program Manager in ensuring the team has adequate coverage and support across all service components and operating hours.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality, person-centred services through continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Coordinate clinical meetings, case reviews, and integration activities to enhance continuity of care.
  • Provide expert advice on complex clinical and case management matters.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with external service providers to facilitate integrated care.
  • Contribute to team and program performance monitoring and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, or a related field.
  • Certificate IV in AOD or AOD Skill Set, or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in clinical leadership, mentoring, or supervision.
  • Strong understanding of AOD treatment approaches, mental health co-morbidities, and harm minimisation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and develop teams, promote ethical practice, and manage clinical risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and hands-on attitude.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in electronic client information systems and performance monitoring.

Other Requirements

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Satisfactory AFP National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
  • Australian Citizenship or suitable work rights.
  • Current Driver’s Licence (desirable).
