Medium LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit Organisation has vacancy for a part-time (0.4 FTE) limited 3-month fixed term contract Bookkeeper for Xero Reconciliations (with possible extension) to assist the finance team with day-to-day coordination of Diverse Voices accounts functions.

Must be available to commit to end-to-end payroll fortnightly (Mondays) and be available in general two days per week Monday through Thursday.

The Role

  • Completing Reconciliations, Invoicing and Payroll functions
  • Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards while executing general bookkeeping support
  • Review and correct 24/25 FY period of reconciliations (where applicable) based on updated project categories
  • Any other tasks as necessary (within private clerk award) to assist the Chief Operating Officer & Operations Officer

You have

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, account management, month-end bookkeeping & knowledge of basic income tax and GST concepts
  • Comprehensive experience with Xero
  • Accurate data entry skills & a willingness to assist in process improvements

To be successful

You hold a relevant qualification in bookkeeping or have relevant professional experience

You have an ability to work within deadlines

You understand Australian accounting principles, GST, payroll and superannuation
