MACS and Diversitat have been serving the Geelong community for more than 40 years with a focus on our multicultural communities. As the new entity, Cultura operates across various sites delivering a range of services including residential aged care, home care and aged support services, settlement, training and education, financial counselling and disability support. We also operate a range of social enterprises including The Pulse community radio and various community events including the popular Pako Festa.

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing professional training and assessment in the Diploma of Community Services program area, and to promote Cultura in various ways including maintaining and supporting growth of strong community and industry relationships.

About You:

  • Highly developed organisational and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work autonomously;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of accredited training programs;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the NVR 2015 Standards, nationally accredited training packages and accredited courses and funding contracts;
  • An up to date, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education, and;
  • Hold a qualification equal to or higher than a Diploma of Counselling.
  • Recent (in the last 12 months) and continuing work experience or vocational practice/engagement in relation to both:
    • The industry relevant to the qualification being delivered, and
    • Competency based Training and Assessment in Australia.
  • Evidence of professional development undertaken in the last 12 months in relation to:
    • Your area of specialisation;
    • Vocational Education and Training knowledge;
    • Competency based training and assessment.
  • Professional development may include (for example) attendance at conferences, training sessions, networking meetings, participating in nationally recognised training, reading articles and discussion papers, and subscriptions.
