About Documentary Australia
Documentary Australia is a not-for-profit organisation enabling social impact documentaries to be funded and screened to inspire social change. We place documentary stories at the heart of social impact campaigns, surrounding films with a coalition of partners to engage broad audiences in social change initiatives.
DOCUMENTARY AUSTRALIA CEO and BOARD SUPPORT:
- Coordinate DA office events/meetings calendar and the CEO’s diary
- Manage CEO/Staff travel arrangements.
- Manage office equipment, purchasing, invoicing and payments.
- Organise periodic team social events.
- Schedule annual Board/Committee meetings
- Collate quarterly board papers
- Take minutes of quarterly Board meeting and send to Board post-meeting
- Manage legal (non-grant) documents
DATA MANAGEMENT:
- Salesforce (SF) database administration
- Manage SF/Wordpress/Xero transactions reconciliations/reports
DONOR and FILMMAKER support:
- Coordinate filmmaker workshops
- Oversee quarterly film applications submissions process and enquiries
- Provide donor reports from SF as required.
- Manage Women Make Movies (US) partnership and requests from filmmakers.
Provide organisation-wide support as required:
- Manage enquiries received via email or via phone from external parties, donors or filmmakers
- Support event management logistics eg. workshops, events and screenings including venue sourcing, registration management, logistics and catering where required.
- New staff onboarding
- Ensure the office is fully operational including IT, phone systems, printers, stationery, subscriptions and resources are up to date
- Coordinate the office calendar and keep team members abreast of upcoming activities and deliverables.
Essential selection criteria:
- Sydney-based, office located in Paddington
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage a broad range of activities simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled with MS Office and database management
- Ability to work autonomously, constructively and collaboratively as a part of a dynamic, high performing, fun team.
- Candidates must hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or the capacity to permanently work in Australia.
Desired:
- Demonstrated experience within a non-profit organisation work environment
- Understanding of the Australian philanthropic landscape
- Excellent website, Office 365/Word/Excel skills – CRM (Customer relationship management) ie. Salesforce, XERO and Wordpress, would be an advantage.
- Aptitude for picking up new on-line tools and systems.
