We're seeking a knowledgeable telco consultant with business development/account executive experience to accelerate and drive our telco practice, manage client relations for projects, and ongoing management services for our mostly NFP clients.

Dog and Bone’s initial offering was focused on saving NFPs money on their telco spend. While our services have evolved significantly, we are keen to drive and promote our telco practice offering, which focus on two main area’s procurement (helping our clients define needs and select vendors) and ongoing telco management services (bill verification, MDM etc.). Reporting to the CEO, the role will see you develop and grow Dog and Bone’s telco management practice, working with a range of technologies, services and vendors that deliver value to our clients.
You will be an integral part of the telco consulting team, responsible for both the management of the existing client relationships and business development. You will also be responsible for working with the technical team to hand over projects to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project delivery.
You will regularly visit potential and existing clients to build and maintain relationships and be seen as a trusted independent adviser who understands their requirements and offers solutions. This is a role you are empowered to own and drive forward.
We are looking for an experienced business development professional with a telco background who has drive and commitment, shares our values and wants a rewarding role that will contribute to the growth and development of our telco consulting practice and ongoing telco management service.
You are an excellent communicator, with the ability to deliver complicated messages in a non-technical way, bridging the gap between business and technology. You have a strong acumen in the telecommunications sector and project management experience.
Throughout your career you have been responsible for managing or delivering telco projects including requirements gathering, estimation, resourcing and scheduling, risk management, data analysis and managing/reporting on deliverables and status. You are a trusted adviser who understands business requirements and holistic solutions, with the ability to see the big picture.
You demonstrate advanced organisational skills to ensure appropriate delivery in a timely manner. With excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, you present clearly and concisely with clients and are experienced at engaging and influencing key stakeholders including vendors, end users and senior management teams.
Your background will include working knowledge and understanding of telco services, infrastructure, telephony, billing and expense management, telco procurement / RFP processes, and mobility (i.e. mobile fleet management/mobile device management (MDM)). You may have worked for a telco vendor or partner/reseller as an account manager or you may be from a consulting/delivery background that had strong involvement in sales, business development and client management.
