Greater Sydney Parklands (GSP) is a city-wide agency created to become Sydney’s leading urban parks advocate, part of the Transport for NSW cluster. In partnership with communities and governments, it will plan for and expand great open spaces and parklands and champion the NSW Government’s new 50 Year Vision for Sydney’s Open Space and Parklands. Greater Sydney Parklands currently brings together five iconic parks across Sydney: Centennial Parklands, Parramatta Park, Western Sydney Parklands, Callan Park and Fernhill Estate.
With more than 30 million visits per year, Centennial Parklands is one of the world's leading public parklands. It has also some of the most historically and socially significant urban spaces in Australia.
This newly established role will be responsible for Centennial Parklands Foundation’s recently established Giving Circle patron program, and will be part of the Foundation’s most ambitious capital-raising project to date creating world class nature discovery spaces to support the growth of nature play across NSW.
This role will also assist the Head of Fundraising & Development with the creation of philanthropy structures and initiatives at other parklands.
This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and dynamic team and position Greater Sydney Parklands as a leader in park, venue and precinct facilities and management, provider of quality leisure facilities, events and natural and cultural heritage. We also offer career development and advancement opportunities, and flexible working.
You will be a passionate professional with proven experience in developing successful relationships with philanthropic donors including soliciting gifts, supporting cultivation and stewardship.
Your high level communication and project management will see you developing and implementing annual giving philanthropy strategies, major and capital giving programs.
Current knowledge of fundraising principles and guidelines, relevant legislation and ethical standards is key to this role.
