The Health Promotion Officer (HPO) is part of the Health Promotion Team and reports to the Health Promotion Team Leader.
A key focus of the position will be to work in partnership with internal and external networks to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion initiatives, as set out in the DPV Health Community Health - Health Promotion Plan, within the Northern Corridor of Melbourne (including the Hume and Whittlesea catchment).
Using place-based planning processes and efficient resource management, you will given flexibility and license to explore new methodologies, techniques and technologies to find and build sustainable programs that deliver high impact and community reach.
On building relationships and working groups, you will implement and manage regular communication and behaviour changing programs that continuously expand the available networks and maintain ongoing contact with clients and the community.
The HPO will be a driver and communicator of DPV Health Programs and Services through the establishment of internal and external networks and client referrals.
The role is initially fixed-term until 30 June 2023, however there is likelihood for extension. We’re open to what this role may look like for you whether that’s part-time (0.6eft / 0.8eft) or full-time. Our team currently work a mixture of hybrid arrangements between WFH and Epping Support Officer.
