The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking motivated Research Administration Officers (RAOs) to conduct interviews with participants in the Footprints in Time - The Longitudinal Study of Indigenous Children (LSIC). There is a significant amount of travel undertaken by staff in this role.

Successful candidates will be required to travel by air, road transport and ferry to work in blocks up to 3 weeks in remote, regional and urban locations.

RAOs are required to conduct interviews both within and outside ordinary working hours including evenings and weekends as required, dependent on LSIC respondent availability.

RAOs must be able to operate both as part of a team and independently. The Department will supply the successful candidates with the relevant equipment they will require to do the job. This may include a workstation and mobile computing devices. The Department will book and cover travel costs including travel allowance.
