EACH is a NDIS Partner in the Community delivering the Early Childhood Approach Services in South-West Sydney, Southern New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory. The Early Childhood Approach helps families with children aged 0 - 6 with assistance, advice and access to the supports in your local community.

About the Early Years Specialist position

We are seeking an Early Years Specialist to join a diverse, and highly motivated group of experienced allied health professionals, social workers, and inclusive education specialists.

As Early Years Specialist you will work in a transdisciplinary team to deliver functional assessments, planning, and delivering early supports for children 0-6 years with a developmental delay or disability and their families. Working in partnership with families to support children to achieve positive outcomes, actively participate in everyday activities, and be included in family and community life.

We are ideally seeking an Allied Health professional (open to new graduates), Social Worker or someone with a trauma informed background.

Duties include:

  • Interacting and building rapport with families and listening to the voice of the child
  • Connecting and facilitating the inclusion of the child in community and mainstream settings
  • Coaching families, carers and other professionals to build their capacity
  • Documenting developmental information, goals and outcomes
  • Assisting families to apply for and implement a funded NDIS plan

Who we're looking for

In addition to a self-directed passion and drive to support children and their families within the community, you will:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Allied Health or Education
  • Hold current registration with either AHPRA, SPA, AASW or relevant teaching registration
  • Show experience working with developmental delays/disabilities
  • Demonstrate previous experience working with children and families
  • Confirm willingness to complete references, police check, NDIS checks
