  • Location: Healesville (Golden Wattle site) + Travel where required.
  • Position: Part-time (3 days, 9AM – 4PM), ongoing

What you’ll be doing

Bring your passion, creativity, and leadership to a role that makes a real difference. As the Team Lead of Social Activity Groups, you’ll support older adults to stay active and connected in their communities through engaging activities and social connections.

  • Facilitate and lead engaging, goal-oriented activities for older adults, both in-house and out in the community.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, their carers, and community organisations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate transportation for participants, including driving a 12-seater bus when required.
  • Promote and grow the service within the community.
  • Ensure all risk management and documentation are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Monitor income and expenses to keep the program within budget.
  • Lead and support a small team of dedicated support workers.

Who we’re looking for

You are passionate, self-driven, and motivated to help others in the community. We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience coordinating in a community setting and delivering group activities to older adults.
  • A strong understanding of the diverse physical, social, emotional, and cultural needs of older adults, particularly those living with dementia.
  • Experience working with older adults and an understanding of how dementia impacts individuals, carers, and families.

Qualifications

  • Aged Care qualifications or a related field required (Minimum Cert III Qualification in Aged Care, or Individual Support, and must have completed aged care components).
  • Dementia-specific qualifications and/or experience are highly desirable.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Management is a plus.
