THE ROLE

The Community Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a diverse range of programs for the public, including regular social groups, activities, and recreational workshops at the East Brisbane Community Centre Inc. (EBCC). Working alongside the CEO, this is a unique role that demands empathy and creative insight, particularly in marketing and leveraging social media to promote the centre's initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding of the issues confronting socially and financially disadvantaged individuals and communities, and a demonstrated capacity to engage with them.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver programs that will assist disadvantaged service users to engage more effectively with the centre and to access other services.
• Confidence in using social media platforms, in order to market and promote EBCC.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Relevant qualification in arts and/or human services (or a related field).
• Demonstrated ability to undertake the administrative workload associated with the position, such as data collection and reporting on program performance.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and social media marketing.
• An understanding of the compliance framework of community services, including child protection, WHS, and anti-discrimination legislation.
• Current (or able to obtain) a Blue Card.

REMUNERATION

SCHADS Level 3.1 – $73,795 per/annum (pro-rata)

Salary packaging benefits – up to $15,900 a year.
