Applications are sought from suitably qualified Creative Arts Therapists to be part of the Echuca Regional Health team to deliver comprehensive mental health services as part of the Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service- known as "The Local"

The Local will act as a front door to the mental health service system and will provide wholistic care including clinical interventions, wellbeing and therapeutic supports. Peer expertise and lived experience will be crucial to service delivery.

Local Services will provide evidence-based or informed clinical treatment, including counselling and psychological therapies. The Creative Arts Therapist will use their knowledge, skills and experience in either Art or Expressive Therapy to improve the mental health and wellbeing of consumers of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local. The Arts Therapist will develop individual and group therapy programs in collaboration with consumers and other mental healthcare practitioners. Clinical interventions will be integrated with and complemented by wellbeing supports, peer and mutual self-help supports and care coordination

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Qualifications in expressive Arts Therapy or working towards
  • The ability to inspire trust and provide an open atmosphere that encourages learning and participation
  • Proven experience in conducting therapy sessions and creating healing through creative expression
  • Understand the value the voice of lived expertise and how it contributes to service provision and clinical outcomes
