<li><strong>Full time: 38 hours per week, one year position with a 3mth probationary period. The role will require preparedness to work outside of normal working hours at times.</strong></li>

<li><strong>Salary: $80,691.33 - $89,415.87 plus superannuation (11.5%) and five weeks leave, dependent on skills, experience and previous track record.</strong></li>
<li><strong>REPORTING: The position reports to the ECNT Senior Climate Campaigner. There are no reports to this position.</strong></li>

<h3>THE ROLE</h3>
<p>The Environment Centre NT is looking for an experienced Campaigner to join our Climate program. The Northern Territory is currently facing unprecedented expansion of the gas industry, including fracking in the Beetaloo Basin, Santos&rsquo; Barossa project in the Timor Sea and the Middle Arm Petrochemicals &amp; Gas Hub in the Darwin Harbour.</p>
<p>The Campaigner will work with local communities, organisations and the ECNT team to scrutinise these developments and to assist in the rapid transition to renewables.</p>
<h3>ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT CENTRE NT</h3>
<p>The Environment Centre NT is the peak environmental organisation in the Northern Territory (NT). We have been working to protect the NT environment since 1983.</p>
<p>ECNT is an exciting and dynamic organisation, with an extraordinary impact locally and nationally. We have undergone a period of growth in recent years, and we now leading some of the most important campaigns in the country.</p>
<p>We are the trusted, independent, voice on environmental issues in the NT and we fearlessly hold governments and industry to account in pursuit of our vision. We have expanded rapidly in the last 18 months in response to escalating environmental threats (including the climate and extinction crises). We are currently running a number of cutting-edge campaigns across our key strategic work themes: mining, climate, freshwater and biodiversity that require a sophisticated and multi-layered communications strategy. <h3><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Strategise, assist to develop and to implement the <em>No New Gas</em> campaign to change mindsets, shift power and protect our climate.</li>
<li>Develop political, public and stakeholder engagement strategies to achieve overarching campaign goals.</li>
<li>Develop campaign projects, conduct research to support the program and prepare effective analysis.</li>
<li>Generate and guide the development of inspiring content that encourages people to act.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Selection criteria</h3>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in nature conservation, advocacy space and related areas.</li>
<li>Commitment to the conservation and environment sector.</li>
<li>Passion for protecting and conserving NT nature.</li>
<li>Understanding of political decision making.</li>
<li>Strong stakeholder and decision-maker engagement and representation skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated intelligent and impactful 2 campaigning skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated skills in working with high performing teams.</li>
<li>Skills in media engagement and as a spokesperson.</li>
<li>High level of emotional intelligence and proven collaborative working style and experience.</li>
