The Organisation

ECTARC is a not-for-profit organisation, that provides education and care services in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, as well as an award-winning Registered Training Organisation providing early childhood training and professional development across Australia. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle to align with workforce planning and business needs.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Provide expert advice to management on recruitment strategies, disciplinary matters, performance management, industrial relations, and workforce planning.
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations and improvement plans.
  • Address employee grievances and foster positive employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and growth.
  • Maintain accurate employee records with strict confidentiality.
  • Contribute to HR projects that promote engagement and strengthen company culture.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to support payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role or similar position. (Minimum 5 years’ experience)
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
