Purpose of the role

As a key member of our dynamic Strategic Communications team, you’ll play an integral role in crafting content across multiple platforms, coordinating impactful events, and driving engagement.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and publish content for AERO’s various platforms including social media, newsletters and website.
  • Maintain communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Coordinate logistics for events activities including webinars and conference activation.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the AERO Strategic Communications Strategy as part of the Strategic Communications team.
  • Support reporting activities, media and inbox monitoring.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication materials and channels to assess effective engagement and provide recommendations to adapt future materials for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential requirements: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.

Desirable knowledge and experience: 

  • Experience in writing and content development for a range of formats, including social media, websites and newsletters.
  • Experience managing event logistics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a small communications team and flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the team’s work.
  • Demonstrated writing skills including the ability to write for a range of formats and audiences.
  • High level organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to establish and meet priorities, effectively coordinate resources and manage time efficiently and autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster and maintain positive professional working relationships with colleagues, as well as with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
