Purpose of the role
The Project Delivery Manager plays a crucial role in supporting successful project delivery. The role is responsible for overseeing and supporting project activities, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, and driving efficient and effective project specific delivery to all AERO projects.
Accountabilities:
- Assist project teams in developing and managing project schedules, coordinate project publications, and provide executives with an overview of project timelines and dependencies.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team on project-specific procurement needs, assist in forecasting procurement activities, and facilitate procurement processes.
- Support with reporting of projects against established milestones, collating accurate reports and change control processes.
- Support project and coding, approvals, and tracking of invoices, contracts management and variation, and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project and process risks, monitor risks regularly, and manage project risk registers.
- Provide support to project teams on standardised project delivery processes, procedures, and templates.
- Contribute to project processes, implement improvements, and evaluate project performance for further enhancements in collaboration with the organisational delivery team.
- Lead and contribute to project initiation, align projects with organisational goals, conduct risk workshops, and assist with project planning and establishment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and / or equivalent relevant experience in project delivery.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in project management and delivery within a community, health or education setting, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in procurement and contract management.
- Understanding of project delivery processes, methodologies, and risk management.
- Ability to convey project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders across all levels.
Skills:
- Exceptional written, verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex project scenarios and develop collaborative solutions.
- Working knowledge of project management tools i.e. Smartsheet manage project schedules, financial principles, and technology (for example, MS365).
