Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge, diverse experience, and a commitment to improving the lives of individuals. There is an opportunity to work in both metro and regional SA, as well as potential for other states as we grow!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualised PBS plans for clients, utilising evidence-based practices.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments and analyses.
• Provide training and support to participants, families, and caregivers on effective behavioural strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to support.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PBS plans, making adjustments as necessary.
• Stay abreast of current research and advancements in the field of Positive Behaviour Support.
• Contribute to the development of organisational policies and practices related to PBS.
• Work within a human rights framework.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioural Science, or a related field.
• Approved practitioner with the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PBS practitioner role, minimum 5 years for management roles.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful PBS plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and diverse environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and ethical practice.
