  • Supervises: Endeavour Hills Neighbourhood Centre Inc Staff
  • Hours: 22 hours (school term, permanent part time), to be worked flexibly according to commitments and negotiated with the Committee of Management. The Managers role and responsibilities requires occasional weekend and evening work.

The role

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the centre's community engagement and impact
  • Manage the centre's day-to-day operations, including budgeting, resource allocation and staff supervision
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including local government, community groups and funding bodies
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities to support the centre's programs and initiatives
  • Oversee the delivery of a diverse range of community-focused activities and services
  • Foster collaborative partnerships to expand the reach and influence of the centre
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as social work, community development or public administration

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience in community development, program management and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven track record of leading successful community-based initiatives and projects
  • Strong communication, collaboration and partnership-building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Thorough understanding of the community services sector and relevant legislation
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as social work, community development or public administration
