Requirements of the role:
- Tertiary qualification in Health, Community Services, HR, Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Value-Based Health Care principles (desirable but can be learned on the job).
Competencies & Skills:
- Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing staff and volunteer teams, including coaching, development, and conflict resolution.
- Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to align volunteer services with the organisation’s strategic objectives, drive continuous improvement, and oversee project scoping, planning, and implementation.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced writing abilities and strong public speaking experience.
- IT Proficiency: Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and experience with Better Impact (preferred).
- Organisational Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple volunteer programs and diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
- Collaboration & Relationship-Building: Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to enhance volunteer services.
- Process Improvement: Ability to identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in volunteer management.
- Commitment to Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, risk management practices, and ethical volunteer management principles.
- Driver’s Licence & Vehicle Use: Current Victorian driver’s licence, a good driving record, and a willingness to use a personal vehicle in accordance with EPC Process Map 1761 – Motor Vehicle Use.
Salary and benefits:
- $53.87 per hour + super + not-for-profit taxable reduction benefits listed below
