We have developed a unique and powerful legal practice that is shaping litigation in Australia for important issues like climate change.
We have a dynamic and nimble organisational culture and we’re serious about supporting our people to thrive.
We believe that a diversity of experiences and perspectives will help us to be stronger. We encourage First Nations Australians, people of colour, people within the LGBTQIA+ community and people living with a disability to apply.
A unique opportunity has arisen for a litigation lawyer (3-7 PAE) to work on litigation matters and advisory work for climate and related risk, largely in the corporate and finance realm.
An interest in climate change and its interaction with corporations law, trustee law and government processes is essential. This role is suited to litigators who have experience in Federal and/or Supreme Courts. Experience in corporations law, superannuation law, insurance, banking, consumer law, class actions, and dispute resolution is most valuable. Knowledge of climate-related policy and legal developments is essential.
You have a problem solving mindset and an ability to think both logically and strategically. You are a solutions-focussed lawyer who enjoys problem solving across a range of legal frameworks.
You are willing to learn about a complicated, fast-moving area and apply reasoning skills to challenging legal and factual scenarios. You are seeking high-quality and technical legal work (beyond what may typically be available for your level of experience) in a professional environment that seeks to surpass the standards of the best corporate and plaintiff firms in Australia. Excellent communication and relationship skills are required.
