Environment Victoria is building a movement of people across Victoria to create a just society living in harmony with a healthy environment. This role requires an organised, self-motivated, energetic and collaborative professional.
With roughly 3-5 years’ experience working in the fundraising sector, you will be looking to develop your understanding in sone of the most important parts of any high functioning fundraising programs: appeals.
With solid knowledge of individual giving programs, you already understand the importance of appeals. They provide reliable income, a pool of prospects for the broader fundraising program, and an opportunity to reach a broad audience with important messaging at key times of the year!
You will have previous experience in delivering donor communications in the individual giving space, and you have seen previously how smart and timely communications can improve relationships with donors and retain their giving over time.
You should be self-motivated and thrive in a collaborative environment. Working within a high performing team you will be expected to support your colleagues at busy points of the year and think about the broader impacts of your work across the fundraising program.
Your passion for the environment will drive you to be successful in this role and you are confident in how you speak about the work that takes place in this sector and why.
This exciting role focuses on creatively engaging our donors in real-time urgent fundraising appeals. Creative development, including both writing and designing content, is one of the most important and most fun components of the job!
The fundraising appeals this role delivers raise funds that support our key campaigns which are directly influenced by Environment Victoria’s strategic direction. These appeals communicate with donors about work the happening out in the community right now.
Our appeals are integrated across direct mail, email and SMS. Creative licence here is as important as the planning and coordination of these multi-channel communications. Persuasive, emotive storytelling will win hearts and minds, while solid plans and excellent time management will ensure tactics are delivered properly and as many people as possible support our work.
This role gives the right person an opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Working within a high functioning and well-supported fundraising team that includes highly skilled writers, communicators and relationship managers.
The team is supported by a detailed annual plan of activity and a passionate group of campaigners, organisers and communicators across Environment Victoria. You will not be short of inspiration!
