Invitation for EOI to serve on the Board of EV Strengthening Communities: ev.org.au.
With offices in Ringwood, EV Strengthening Communities, formerly Eastern Volunteers, has been serving the eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne for over 45 years. It is a multi service community organisation with a purpose, to work with communities to ensure the support, connection and care people need throughout their lives. The strategic priorities of the entity are available at EV Strategic Priorities.
EV Strengthening Communities has grown over the years and diversified as an Early Years Manager and Employment Services organisation in addition to the traditional base of aged care- community transport and volunteering services. The Constitution provides for the Executive and includes the Chair, the Secretary and the Treasurer. The position description of Board member is available at EV - Board Member.
There are multiple Board roles available at this time. Persons living with a disability, from culturally linguistically diverse backgrounds, from the LGBTQIA+ community, and with previous Board experience of a not-for-profit and community services entity are encouraged to apply.
You will join an experienced and committed Board with governance and sector expertise; their profiles are available at ev.org.au/about-us/our-board.
The commitment in terms of time is 1.5-2 hours a month at Board Meetings as well as sub committee work from time to time. The Board meet via a mix of online and in-person meetings; in-person meetings are held at the offices, at 1/36 New St, Ringwood.
